Mike Ambrose is a Queensland artist who enjoys unusual projects and a commercial spin on his art, including commissions for murals and mosaics. One of his projects being a three-year commission to paint the ceiling of a 5 star heritage train, the Great South Pacific Express.
Mike was commissioned to execute a design 'lilypond' by John Olsen on the largest contemporary mosaic in the Southern Hemisphere on the Brisbane Convention Centre foyer floor.
He produced the Bond University coat-of-arms as a collaborative project with designer, Michael Bryce, and his work has graced the posters, books and walls of numerous exhibitions, conventions, expo projects and design commissions including the Japan Expo and World Print Expo, New York. |
